Choosing between Google Workspace and Yandex 360 means comparing more than mailboxes. Both are office ecosystems that bundle business email with files, calendars, video meetings, chat, and collaboration. Dedicated email hosting solves a narrower problem: receiving and sending mail on the company domain.
That is why searches for a Yandex 360 or Google Workspace alternative can describe different needs. One team wants a complete application suite; another needs name@company.uz, webmail, and Outlook or phone access.
The short answer
Google Workspace makes sense when the team already builds its processes around Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar, Meet, and Chat. Yandex 360 for Business suits organizations seeking an integrated set of Mail, Disk, Calendar, Telemost, Messenger, and editors. The exact components and administrative features of both depend on edition or plan, so verify official pages before purchase.
Dedicated email hosting makes sense when documents, calls, and chat already have homes and the new system only needs to handle mail. It is a different service class, not a copy of an office ecosystem.
What is being compared
| Criterion | Google Workspace | Yandex 360 for Business | Dedicated email hosting |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core model | Integrated online office | Integrated online office | Email as an independent service |
| Domain email | Gmail for organizations | Yandex Mail for organizations | Provider-dependent; Mailcore provides domain mailboxes |
| Files and collaborative documents | Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides | Disk and document editors | Focus on email; documents remain in familiar services |
| Calendar, meetings, chat | Calendar, Meet, Chat | Calendar, Telemost, Messenger | Usually handled by third-party services |
| Administration | One ecosystem console; capabilities depend on edition | Organization panel; capabilities depend on plan | Mailcore setup is guided; records and switchover are agreed with the domain owner |
| Email clients | Availability and connection method depend on configuration | Official help documents client access | IMAP and SMTP are commonly central; Mailcore supports them |
| Archives, storage, recovery | Depend on edition and settings | Depend on plan and settings | Mailcore launches production only after backup setup and a control restore |
| Billing | Usually per user and edition | Usually per employee and plan | Provider-specific; Mailcore charges for domain and mailboxes |
The table shows product boundaries, not a universal winner. Cloud storage matters for file collaboration but does not automatically improve email delivery. IMAP is useful for email applications but does not replace a calendar, meetings, or backups.
What 5 and 10 users cost
The snapshot below was checked against official pages on August 28, 2026. Terms, discounts, taxes, and exchange rates change, so recalculate before purchasing. Google uses the standard Business Starter annual-commitment price of USD 7 per user per month, excluding temporary promotions. Conversion uses the Central Bank of Uzbekistan's official rate on that date: UZS 11,801.23 per USD.
| Solution | Calculation basis | 5 users or mailboxes | 10 users or mailboxes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Workspace Business Starter | USD 7 per user per month with annual commitment | about UZS 413,000 | about UZS 826,000 |
| Yandex 360 “Minimum” | UZS 49,900 per employee per month | UZS 249,500 | UZS 499,000 |
| Mailcore base plan | UZS 59,000 for domain and 5 mailboxes, then UZS 8,000 each | UZS 59,000 | UZS 99,000 |
The offers have different scope. Google Workspace and Yandex 360 include office applications and far more storage. Mailcore focuses on email and avoids paying for a second office ecosystem. Its 1 GB mailboxes are intended for current correspondence; historical migration is planned individually. Bank conversion, taxes, and fees can change the final Google amount.
When to choose Google Workspace
Google's official page lists Gmail with a business address, Drive, Meet, Calendar, Chat, Docs, Sheets, and Slides as one suite. It is convenient when employees must communicate, edit files together, schedule meetings, and use one account system.
Business Gmail is a natural fit for teams already storing work on Drive. Check storage, access policy, sign-in methods, administrative logs, and data export. Do not assume one edition's features apply to the whole product.
An alternative is reasonable when only Gmail is used and the other bundled tools duplicate paid services. But if workflows rely on Docs, Drive, Meet, and shared calendars, replacing only email leaves gaps whose cost and complexity belong in the comparison.
When to choose Yandex 360
Yandex describes 360 for Business as a virtual office with domain email, cloud storage, calendar, video meetings, messenger, and editors. Its documentation also covers employee and address administration, mailing lists, delegation, and email clients. Capacity, archival, and administrative capabilities depend on the plan and can change, so recheck the price snapshot.
The suite delivers value when the company uses Mail together with Disk, Calendar, Telemost, or Messenger. One console may then be simpler than separate subscriptions.
An alternative need not be another large ecosystem. If files and meetings already live elsewhere and employees only need domain email, compare Yandex 360 with email hosting. If archives, shared documents, SSO, or centralized policy are essential, identify a replacement for each before leaving.
When email hosting is enough
Dedicated hosting suits small companies, online shops, and project teams needing personal and role addresses such as director@, sales@, and support@. Users work in webmail or connect through IMAP and SMTP. See “Email Hosting for Your Domain” and our IMAP/SMTP guide.
A narrow service keeps the email decision separate from document and video tools. The team keeps familiar file, calendar, and contact services instead of migrating them unnecessarily.
Mailcore belongs to this category. It offers webmail, IMAP, and SMTP with specialist-guided domain and DNS setup. The pilot costs UZS 59,000 per month for one domain and five 1 GB mailboxes, plus UZS 8,000 for each additional 1 GB mailbox. Historical migration is quoted from the real archive. See the pricing guide.
When Mailcore is better value than another office ecosystem
Mailcore focuses on business email. If documents, calendars, video meetings, and messaging are already organized, the team keeps those tools and pays only for email. If one integrated application suite is required, compare Google Workspace and Yandex 360 as a separate scenario.
Mailcore requires a backup restore test before production. IMAP is synchronization, not an independent copy: deletion can propagate to all devices. See “Email Backups”.
Include mandatory MFA, a contractual SLA, round-the-clock support, or data location in the request. Mailcore will confirm the available configuration before payment and MX changes. The client does not need to design records; a specialist prepares them and the DNS owner enters the values.
What to check before moving
Start with inventory, not price. Count employees, full mailboxes, and role addresses. Mark who needs shared calendars, collaborative files, meetings, delegated access, mobile apps, and email clients. List the website, CRM, point of sale, and other systems sending on behalf of the domain.
Compare the same checklist:
- applications actually included in the selected plan;
- per-user storage and expansion;
- account creation, blocking, and transfer;
- required aliases, groups, and sharing models;
- supported computers and phones;
- export for mail, contacts, calendars, and files;
- backups and proven recovery;
- sending and acceptable-use limits;
- contractual support and availability;
- data processing and external services;
- migration, training, and parallel-running cost.
Changing MX directs new incoming messages but does not move history, calendars, or files. Create addresses, test both directions and recovery, and keep the old service through verification. Mailcore guides these checks and agrees the MX window. Follow the migration checklist and domain setup guide.
A service name does not determine deliverability
The same core principles apply to Google Workspace, Yandex 360, and dedicated hosting. Recipients consider domain authentication, reputation, content, volume, and complaints. Compare configuration and diagnosis, not promises.
Check who configures SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, how website and CRM senders are included, and who investigates errors. These records matter but are not a “spam bypass.” See SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
Three practical scenarios
A small company needs five addresses and already has documents and video calls. Mailcore can solve email without a second office suite, subject to quota and migration confirmation.
A distributed team edits documents together, shares calendars, and meets by video. Compare Google Workspace and Yandex 360 as complete suites; an email plan is not an equal substitute until separate tools cover the other processes.
A company wants to leave a large platform on cost grounds but stores years of mail, files, calendars, and shared documents there. Assess export and permissions for every data type first. Moving only email may lower that bill while breaking workflows or creating several new subscriptions.
Making the decision
For one digital office, compare the required Google Workspace and Yandex 360 editions. For domain email alone, compare hosting by quota, protocols, migration, recovery, and support.
Mailcore is an affordable alternative to the email component of those suites for small teams whose documents and meetings already have homes. Separate email from collaboration first, then calculate the full cost of required tools and migration.
